God sent many prophets (or messagers) to invite His divided people back into relationship with Him. Some never knew the promise to Abraham or that God brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt. Others disconnected themselves from the principles and practices given by God. And still others worshipped false gods and were blatantly rebellious towards Him. Through powerful messages of merciful grace and righteous judgement, the prophets faithfully stood in the gap between Yahweh and His people.
So, what does that mean for us? Regardless of situation or circumstances, we can always reconnect to the Lord of hosts. Nothing in all of heaven and earth is powerful enough to separate us from the love of God! This is the truth that will explore during our Fall sermon series.
